Okay, I'm here with my first big Haul! I've got it split up into a small handful and the main chunk of Manga, across these two I got 29 volumes! Making this my biggest ever haul in my 3 years of collecting Manga! Here's the list!
- Cross Game - Volumes 3,4,7
Okinawa
The Men Who Created Gundam
Asadora! - Volumes 1,2,4,5,6
CITY - Volumes 1-13 (Complete Series
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - 6 Volumes (Various Parts)
Cross Game is a series that's really tough to find, I loved the first volume but have been patiently waiting for reprints. After a long time my prayer has been answered! A couple volumes got reprints and now I'm just waiting for Volumes 2 and 6 in this brilliant Baseball Series!
Okinawa this is an oddball but its really cool, its a collection of historical short stories about the occupation of Okinawa during WWII and how the people of the Island were treated by both the Japanese and America in this era. The coolest part is that this was made possible by Mangasplaining Xtra! Which is a manga newsletter by the Mangasplaining team, who do arguably the best podcast about manga, by industry workers who have played roles in VIZ and other English Manga licensers!
The Men Who Created Gundam A documentary of sorts about Yoshiyuki Tomino, and other members who created Gundam! It's no surprise I love Gundam and I'm looking forward to going through this one and learning more about one of my favourite series!
Asadora! this one is Naoki Urasawa, one of my favourite Mangaka's, current work! I've kept myself mostly in the dark so all I know is that it follows the life of a young girl who is a professional pilot deep in the midst of an encounter with a terrible catastrophe.
CITY is another manga series by Keiichi Arawi, a brilliant comedy Mangaka who made Nichijo! I found the ENTIRE series for crazy cheap so I couldn't pass up on this opportunity!
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Various) An assortment of volumes from different parts of JoJo, I can't wait to blast through this incredible, lifetime spanning story one day soon!
