Highlighted Works are Completed!
Osamu Tezuka's Manga Theatre
This one is a collection of short stories by the God of Manga himself, Osamu Tezuka! What's particularly interesting about this collection is that they are all Shakespeare themed. Something to note is that Tezuka's works are so broad and varied that the man quite literally did stories of almost every genre and for various demographics. He's something of a genius and I was really curious to see his take on Shakespeare literature! Not to mention he's done his own takes on classic literature too! such as Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky
MSG - Beltorchika's Children
Big shocker that the gundam guy bought gundam manga! This one is a little funny because its the manga adaptation of the film but with plot elements more tied to the novel (Gundam does this thing a LOT, its a bit over the top). Any Gundam manga is a bit of a shock to see get licensed but I am especially excited to see one of my favourite stories in the Gundam universe adapted into one of my favourite mediums. I am really interested to see how a more fleshed out version of a story made for a movie is handled!
MSG - Thunderbolt
Yep, 2 whole gundam series. This one is actually in a turn of events, original material! Not being based off of prior work and then being adapted into an OVA series some years later. Thunderbolt is one of the Gundam stories im most excited to see, both animated and written. Not to mention the anime only covers around half of the manga material.
Goodbye Eri
This one should be easily recognised! This is one of Tatsuki Fujimoto's highly renowned one-shots, and I've only heard great things. His prior short story, Look Back is one of the best short form comics I have ever read and is coming to Theaters this year in a film adaptation I am very excited to see!
